Class 1 Special Purpose or Agricultural Vehicle Permits

In NSW the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator has delegated to each Road Manager the power to issue Class 1 access permits for roads for which it is the Road Manager.  An operator must obtain a permit from each NSW Road Manager (in its capacity as a delegate of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator) for travel on that Road Manager's roads.

Lockhart Shire Council, in the capacity of delegated Road Manager, will issue permits upon lodgement of an application and payment of the relevant permit application fee.

  • Lodgement of an application is not a guarantee that a permit will be issued.
  • A permit cannot be issued without payment.
