National Tree Day

Last modified: November 17, 2009 - 11:43 PM

On 31 July 15 Pleasant Hills School students participated in National Tree Day by adding 30 new shrubs to their native vegetation area at the back of the oval.  Plants from previous years are doing well thanks to the commitment of students watering the plants. Lockhart Central School planting was postponed until 6 August due to wet weather and approximately 130 students planted 300 grasses at the Lockhart Pool corner to finish the area that they commenced planting last year. At Milbrulong 6 students planted 12 shrubs which replaced ones that were planted previously but had since died.
