Management Plan
The central objective of this Management Plan is to ensure a common direction is being pursued across the whole organisation and applying available financial and human resources in a manner which most effectively meets the requirements and priorities of the community it serves. This Management Plan has been formulated in accordance with Section 402-407 of the Local Government Act 1993. The Plan ensures attention is fixed on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges identified within the community and the wider environment. It also ensures day-to-day decisions are taken in the wider context of the Council's long-term strategic direction.
Contact details In accordance with the provisions of Section 402 of the Local Government Act 1993 Council has adopted a Management Plan covering Council’s activities for the three year period 2009/2011. The Management Plan is intended to set the direction of Council for the next three years so that the community’s needs and expectations are met in a planned, co-ordinated and cost effective manner. The Draft Management Plan is prepared in accordance with the Act and includes the following: · A list of the Principal Activities undertaken by the Council, together with the objectives, strategies and performance measures for each activity; · A rating structure for the year 2008/2009 to be effective from 1 July, 2008 · A full listing of all fees and charges to be charged by Council for the 2008/2009year; · A detailed statement of the proposed Estimates of Income and Expenditure for the 2008/2009 year, together with a statement of the proposed budgets for the years 2009/2010and 2010/2011
