Heckendorf Aviary

The E.E. Heckendorf Aviary is well worth a visit.
This small aviary is located in Hodgson Park (in Green Street on the western side of the Brookong Creek). It was constructed by Lockhart Rotarians who also supplied a variety of parrots, cockatoos, finches and budgerigars.
The aviary and surrounding gardens is now maintained by Lockhart Shire Council. An undercover free electric BBQ is situated near the aviary.
